I am a motivated and devoted glass artist, commonly involving other mediums with borosilicates to create the most unique of pieces. I am inspired by other artists as well as the natural world and love to use this in way that helps raise the bar. All of these aspects lends itself to functional art I can be proud of.
Borosilicate functional art incorporating full color and metallic fumed work. I use various colors and piece together my sculptural creations using a torch fueled my oxygen and propane. The glass reaches degrees of 5000 plus at its height, and is cooled slowly in a special kiln, a process known as annealing. Each pipe is different and unique, reflecting various lampworking techniques.
