As a fine artist I seek to capture the essence of my environment, offering the viewer a sense uncomplicated nature including both fauna and flora. There is a wonder to be experienced from observing the local wildlife including deer, alpacas, goats, milk cows and of course the beautiful canines that weave their uncompromising love into our lives.
Paintings of seabirds including local herons, igrets and pelican families I have photographed offers another dimension to the client.
I am known as a colorist and the rich intensity of my palette is applied to vistas that I have visited and inspire me over and over again. I enjoy sharing these with the individuals that visit my exhibits and are able to place themselves into the canvas and weave their own story.
Describe your art.: My paintings include vistas of Tuscany and other quaint communities in the vicinity. I have had the opportunity to capture the essence of the Northwest into my paintings and believe my style, a combination of post impressionism and realism offer a special opportunity to my patrons.
My palette includes rich tonal values of coral oranges to deep siennas. My greens range from a pastel hue to rich deep greens to complement the rest of my palette tones. I integrate indigo blues with grays to provide a peaceful ambience to water in my paintings.
As an artist I extend my portfolio to include portraits of clients favorite family critters with and without children romping about.
My brush strokes are both defined and blended to offer a finished paintings that is filled with colorful layers and depth.
